Why is getting healthy or healthier important to YOU??
For Me:
My grandmother was diagnosed years ago with congestive heart failure, we have TONS of heart disease in our family(both mine and my husbands), I was overweight and unhappy, sometimes weight loss and healthy living is contagious, I loved that I saw others around me trying to make a change too! I am still in need of losing a little weight, but I feel as though I am a MUCH healthier person than I was 15 years ago...
I never want to go back to that place, EVER!

I had two big motivators about 3 years ago. First, I saw a photo of myself at my largest. Yikes! Second, my husband got sick and retired. I thought I might have to interview for a job, and I couldn't fit into any of my suits any longer. Double yikes! I shed almost 40 pounds over that next year. I fluctuate from time to time, though I've never strayed more than 6 or 7 pounds. When the clothes start to feel tight, I know it's time to re-focus. Losing weight was the key for me to get healthy. I was unhappy in a lot of ways when I set out to lose weight last year. I found that when I started being more proactive about my health, it trickled over to other areas of my life so I'm much happier and healthier now. Diabetes also runs in my family, so it's even more important for me to remain in a healthy weight range.

My kids and husband are the biggest reason I want to stay healthy. I want to be able to keep up with them and teach my children how important their health is, too.
