"chocolate" sandwiches and a better forecast!

You know me, I am always trying to come up with healthy, kid-friendly snacks that impress my boys! Yesterday I made what they called, "chocolate sandwiches" and they both gave it TWO, THUMBS UP!
Honey Graham Crackers, Nutella, and a freezer is all that you need for this one!

Split the cracker at the seam, so you'll have smaller, rectangle pieces for those small hands! Place small amount Nutella or any other nut spread(peanut butter would be yummy too!) and top with other cracker! Put in the freezer for about 20 minutes to set and ENJOY!!! I admit I did not try this one, but my oldest son told me it was the best thing he'd ever eaten! Guess that means it was GOOD!

Now that my oldest is in preschool three days a week, I'm having to try and create new things for his lunches and snacks to keep things interesting! Although he has a really cool Batman lunch kit, he still needs some cool snacks too! So this means I'll be sharing a lot of fun and healthy recipes this school year...so get ready!!

Today's Workout: Well today it didn't happen for me, but tomorrow WILL be a nice morning run! Our Texas forecast just claimed that we are finally out of the 100+ temps for a few days, so I'm taking advantage of it! With a projected high of 88, I'm all about a great run! Wish me luck and let's hope their forecast is right :)

Man, 88!! You might need to get a sweater! I can't believe it is going to be cooler there than here. Hope the run in good tomorrow and enjoy the reprieve from the 100's. I know Texas needed a break! Oh and those sound delicious and I think we might need to make some!

Perfect use for that jar of Nutella I have sitting downstairs! I feel like adding part of a chocolate bar could also be delicious!

That sounds delicious! Adults can eat it too, right? I used to eat nutella sandwiches as a snack when I was a child....yum!

Scott and the kids bought 2 huge things of Nutella at Costco the other day. I still haven't tasted it but they say it is great. Today I'm going to send banana, nutella, and raisin sandwiches as Kanin's "dessert".

Do we have to save those for the kids? ; )

Enjoy your cooler temps.

I thought we had it bad with high 90s for the past 3 months! I couldn't imagine it being in the 100s! I'm such a baby when it comes to the heat!

Glad you mentioned keeping the lunch snacks interesting. I was going to ask you for some different snack ideas so Kenley doesn't get bored with her lunches. Please share!

I'm so excited for the "cooler" weather too! After 96 days of 100+ temps so far this year, I can't wait to see the 90's (and maybe, just maybe, the upper 80's) this weekend!
