she kicked my booty!

I woke up this morning, looked out my window(this pic is proof that I really looked out my window!!!) and it just looked HOT...is that even possible? The sun was already beating down on my car and as I looked out of the window I thought, there's NO way I'm running today :( So, I chose Jillian's 6 week 6 pack!

Listen up y'all, JILLIAN kicked my booty! I was yelling at her through my TV! But I'll admit, it was a nice change from running! It's just been so hot lately and the humidity almost takes your breath away in the morning, it's awful! Don't get me wrong, I love running HOWEVER it's nice to change things up! I love workout DVD's(I know some of you hate them!!) and before running, that's all that I did. I think I'm going to run three-four days a week and incorporate these DVD's on my days off??! Wish me luck as Jillian puts me through virtual bootcamp!

Half Marathon Update: We find out on June 27th, whether or not we made the Houston half marathon lottery...I'm a nervous wreck waiting to see! If not, no worries...we'll sign up for another one, because we WILL reach that goal!

Get Healthy group SUGGESTIONS??! My group meets this Wednesday and I'm not sure where to take the focus? We've discussed nutrition(probably could do a little more) and last week, we talked about exercise and their goals and resources to help them achieve those exercise goals! Hmmm. What do you think we should discuss at our meeting this week? If you were part of a group, focused on reaching a weight-loss or fitness goal, what would you want to know?

I think you're super smart to cross-train! You're doing your body a huge favor and will help yourself avoid injury. Plus, I think it helps keep the running fresh. I've gotta try those Jillian DVD's--I need some booty kickin'!!

If I were part of a group focused on a fitness goal (specifically) I would love to know some good basics about injury prevention. If I'd read up on that earlier, I might've been able to avoid my stress fracture. Newby mistake!!

I love Jillian's dvds. They do kick butt. I haven't tried this one yet. I have it though. Maybe I'll try it next time I can't get to the gym.

Lots of yummy love,
